How does it work?
Pour dry kibble or small treats in through the opening, then put the toy on the floor. When your dog pushes it with their nose or paws, it rolls and the food drops out a piece at a time instead of all at once, so mealtime stretches out and they have something to focus on.
Will my dog work out how to use it?
Show them the toy and give it a gentle roll yourself so a few pieces fall out. That first reward tells them where the food comes from. Add a couple of favourite treats if they are slow to start, and most dogs pick it up within a few sessions.
Can I use it for every meal?
Yes. Measure out their normal portion of dry kibble and feed it through the toy instead of the bowl, so they get the same amount at a slower pace. It is made for dry food and small treats rather than wet food.
Can I adjust how fast the food comes out?
Yes. The holes are adjustable, so you can open them up while your dog is learning, then make it a little harder once they have the hang of it.
